What is Fiat Mental Health?
A Catholic-Integrated Offering of Maureen Francois Counseling
I’ll be honest- Fiat Mental Health wasn’t part of my original plan.
My Catholic faith has always been a central part of my life, but for a long time, I kept it separate from my work as a therapist. I was hesitant to merge the two- afraid of getting it wrong or being misunderstood. But over time, I felt God gently (and persistently) inviting me to stop resisting… and to trust.
That “yes” became Fiat Mental Health.
Fiat was born out of the realization that so many Catholics long for therapy that honors both their emotional well-being and their faith. A space where things like prayer, vocation, suffering, healing, and community aren’t seen as contradictions, but part of the whole story.
Now, I feel so much joy in offering therapy that is both clinically grounded and spiritually aware-through a Catholic lens.
